In this study, the 3D structure of mesostructured cellular foam silica (MCF) [1] activated with titanium dioxide is investigated using bright field electron tomography. MCF is a structure yielding high surface area and large pore sizes which explains the interest in this material for catalyst applications.

In this study, composites of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silicas have been prepared by melt mixing and studied for the first time. Two different MCF silica analogues having different pore size were used, i.e., 12 nm (MCF-12) and 50 nm (MCF-50). The MCF content in the mesocomposites was 1, 2.5, 5, and 10 mass%. This work investigated the possibility of incorporation of nickel into several mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silica supports prepared at various aging times (1, 2, and 3 days) by using deposition-precipitation method followed by reducetion process and to look for the best support to obtain supported nickel catalyst with highest nickel loading and smallest size of nickel nanoparticles. The hydrothermal stability of mesostructured cellular silica foams (MCFs) was studied in detail for the first time, using a variety of techniques including transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen sorption, small-angle X-ray scattering, 29Si solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. 2020-01-01 · Due to its exceptional textural, morphological and mechanical properties, mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silica is a suitable support material for enzyme immobilization. However, the simple and efficient protocol of enzyme immobilization using MCF is often overlooked.

… Abstract Herein, large pore mesostructured cellular silica foam coated magnetic oxide composites (MO@MCFs) with multilamellar vesicle shells (MO@MLVs) were obtained, which exhibited a large pore (>10 nm), strong magnetic response (38 emu g −1), excellent protein adsorption and slow drug-release capacity. Key words: Mesostructured cellular foam silica, amino group, functionalization, recyclability, catalysis 1. Introduction Mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silica is a material with a 3-dimensional pore structure of large cells inter-connected by narrower mesporous pores1 that has been utilized in many fields such as adsorption, separation, First published on 3rd February 2017 In this paper, a series of mesostructured cellular foam (MCF) silica supported CuO–CeO 2 catalysts (CuO–CeO 2 /MCF) with various total metal loadings (10–40 wt%) and various Cu/Ce ratios (Cu/Ce = 1/9, 2/8, and 3/7 wt/wt) were prepared by using a co-impregnation method.
